Extended Operation with Minimum Lubrication
Designed to fill the gap between dry (oilless) and lubricated type bearings, the DX Bearing ensures smooth operation over an extended period of time. Once lubricated upon installation only, minimum lubrication is needed from then on at regular intervals.

The DX Bearing has a polyacetal resin overlay containing an additive which features excellent anti-friction characteristics. Sintered fine spherical bronze particles contained in the overlay form a porous layer on top of the steel backing, thereby increasing thermal conductivity to protect the bearing surface from overheating.

FEATURES

  • The steel bearing is covered with a porous layer of sintered fine spherical bronze particles impregnated with a polyacetal resin copolymer.
  • Standard DX bearings are grooved to circulate the lubricant over the entire sliding surface.
  • Operation is quiet, free from squeaking or knocking.
  • Low bearing friction prevents damage to mating surfaces resulting from metal-to-metal contact.
  • Bearing surfaces remain virtually wear-free with a minimum amount of grease or oil.

DX™ is a trademark of The Glacier Metal CO., LTD. U.K.PATENTS:U.K., U.S.A., JAPAN, etc.

  • Low starting friction permits very smooth rotation at low speeds and under high loads. Sliding surfaces are seizure-free, too.
  • Shaft misalignment tolerance is excellent.
  • Operation is smooth even under impact loads.
  • Excellent load-carrying performance is maintained even when parts are suspectible to chafing fatigue and thurst.
  • Standard DX bearings are available for quick delivery.
    * Non-standard types can also be made to order.
